2 Sketches 4 You

There’s a great sketch this week over at 2 Sketches 4 You, pop on over and have a look. I made this anniversary card using K&Co Ashford paper. This is the first time I’ve made one of these flowers (I’m not sure if they’re called Circle flowers or lollipop flowers) and I’m quite pleased with the way it turned out :)

Creations by JJ challenge

One of the current challenges over at the Creations by JJ forum is to make a gate-fold thank you card. I’ve never made a gatefold card before, so I’m actually quite pleased that it all went without a hitch ;) The image is a Hampton Arts stamp and the paper is from Basic Grey.

Coordinates Collections Cyber Crop

They’re having a cyber crop over at Coordinates Collections this weekend, and I made my first ever 12×12 layout for one of the challenges.
A few years ago, hubby made an incubator and we hatched some chicken eggs. Five of the six survived, and this is the first page I’ve made of them, but I do have a LOT of photos of these, so there may well be more.

Friday Sketchers’ Sketch 23

There’s a fab sketch to use in this week’s challenge over at Friday Sketchers
I had a lot of fun with this sketch, head on over to the site and check it out yourself. :)

I made the image in PSP using elements from Outlaw by Design, and the backing paper is Basic Grey.

Papertake Weekly Challenge – 6th Oct.

There’s a choice of challenge this week over at Papertake Weekly, and one of them is to make acrd without any stamping. I’ve very recently got into stamping, and I love it, but this challenge gave me a chance to focus on something else for a change, and I’m really quite pleased with how it came out :)
I made the image in PSP using elements from Outlaw by Design, and the backing paper is K&Co.

Happy Birthday to Arty Girlz!

The lovely team over at the Arty Girlz challenge blog are celebrating their very first birthday this week, and appropriately enough, the challenge is to make something birthday-related.
I made this very simple card, and decided before I began that I would limit myself to one card blank, one sheet of 6×6 paper, one sticker and a sentiment.
Happy Birthday, Arty Girlz! May your next year be filled with fun and inspiration :)

Penny Black Saturday challenge – week 14

The challenge this week over at the Penny Black Saturday challenge blog is to make a man’s card without using the colour blue. I recently found out that someone I used to know was recently badly beaten up and robbed, and I wanted to make a card to just say “Hey, I know life sucks, and I’m so sorry about what happened, but you have people who are thinking of you and sending you good vibes”
I also patted an ink pad around the edges of the white pieces of card and then sanded it to add to the shabby feel.
